GREASING THE SLIP WITH 20 PUMPS OF PRO LONG IS BEST EVERY TRIP IF POSSIBLE FOR THE BEST RESULTS -AND U JOINTS EVERY OTHER TRIP WITH ANY SYNTHETIC SHOULD PROVE WELL ALSO. MEASUREMENTS ARE FROM FLANGE TO FLANGE FACE AT THE SHORTEST LENGTH IF ITS A MICRO STUB SET UP- PICTURED HERE-
mid-board set up has an aluminum ring at the wheel side that the boot clamps on - with this set up we would remove the ring and measure to the housing where the ring set into-
THESE ARE WHERE WE WANT THE MEASUREMENTS FROM ON A MICRO STUB SET UP- Some customers have had problems with there trailing arm mounts and or side case (usually a 2d) - The trailing arm tabs need to be made well- The biggest problem with these failures that we have seen is when you jump your car and land there's a lot of pressure from the arc of the trailing arm trying to push 1500lbs forward when it hits the ground and this causes great stress on these area's- (if your going to jump your car then build it like that) the other issue with the side cover on a 2d- again when you are jumping the car and land off to one side -the tire's are both spinning the same way when you take off- well when you land on one tire the opposite tire is reversed very quickly in mid air- And this kind of jarring action can lead to transmission failure .
-On the bolts we recommend tightening them to the required torque -then run it around for 10 minutes and re-torque the bolts and wire them .
